ONCE A HOTEL
Coolmore Manor House - a Georgian Country House from 1820 – was once a small hotel with 8 rooms and only one bathroom (!!). It was on the former railway line that carried guests from Ballyshannon to Rossnowlagh and beyond. But that was a long time ago. Today, the railway line no longer exists. The property is believed to have been the home of Margaret Mitchell when she was visiting Ireland to make researches for her famous classic novel, "GONE WITH THE WIND". Coolmore Manor House could have served as a model for the TARA house in the novel.
TODAY A LUXURIOUS RESORT
The property has been extensively renovated in recent years and adapted to today's living requirements. Today there is a completely renovated Georgian Country House with all modern conveniences and a pleasant, but not excessive luxury. Now, the house provides 3 modern, large double bedrooms with bathrooms-en-suite, climate-friendly pellet central heating, an outdoor sauna for 8 people and a large outdoor jacuzzi.
